Cost of Treatment of Hemophilia in India
On average, the cost of treatment for an individual per year may work out at the current price (Dec/09) of  Clotting Factor, to Rs 2 to 2.5 lakh for severe, Rs 1 to 1.25 lakh for moderate and Rs 30,000 to 50,000 for mild hemophilia. This does not of course cover hospitalization, surgical procedure etc as may be called for in the case of fracture or other complications. The necessity of providing financial support to the families of PWH will become obvious from the above.
